Displays
Here's the line up of displays at the Hanbury Countryside Show 2026!
tractor pulling
Welcome to the world of tractor pulling - a thrilling, high-powered and often unpredictable sport, and a real crowd pleaser!
During the nail-biting challenge, a weight transfer sledge - in this case, the mighty 'Storm Force' from the Forest of Dean Tractor Pulling Club - sits on the starting line as a rolling weight which gradually becomes a dead weight the further down the track it goes.
The further the pull, the more difficult it gets.
It's not for the faint-hearted!
the kangaroo kid
The Kangaroo Kid Show has been performing ATV/Quad bike stunts across the world since 1989 with Matt Coulter the original Kangaroo Kid and then myself (Matt's Son, Sam) from 2013. While the show has been across the world, the UK agriculture and county show circuit has always been our main focus. Having performed at all the major UK county and royal shows over the last 30 years, after a few years overseas, we are excited to have the show back in the UK.
The Kangaroo Kid has performed in the past at Hanbury Countryside Show and we look forward to welcoming Sam and his team back this year.
'twit twoo' falconry
Love birds of prey? Then you'll love the amazing falconry display in the Countryside Arena at 11 am and again at 3.45 pm.
The art of falconry has been around since Medieval times, and Steve Woodison of Twit Twoo Falconry will be bringing his magnificent falcons AND owls to the Show to demonstrate their capacity for swift and powerful flight. Watch them dive-bombing from up above as they do in the wild.
It's all eyes to the skies - don't miss it!
STEAM ENGINES
For a real dose of countryside nostalgia, be sure to visit the Historical Vehicle section of the Show, where you'll find the mighty steam engines.
Invented back in 1712, steam engines relied largely on coal as a source of fuel and superseded both humans and animals as more efficient generators of power in agriculture.
Don't miss these enormous monster machines - they are both impressive and beautiful, and among the Show's top highlights.
What a spectacular, if rather noisy, throwback to yesteryear, and a reminder of Britain's industrial past!
Please feel free to approach the engine drivers and ask questions - they are always keen to talk about their wonderful vehicles.
Simply alpaca
Simply Alpaca is home to the Jasmine herd, whose luxurious fibre is made into individually crafted textiles. Come and see them at the Show and find out all about them.
Originating from Altiplano in the Andes Mountains, alpacas have been domesticated for 6000 years. They were revered by the Incas for the fineness and warmth of their natural fleece, ranging from snow white to jet black and several colours in between!
Ancient belief tells us that alpacas were a gift from the Goddess Pachamama - the Earth Mother of Andean mythology - and loaned to humans only for as long as they are respected and cared for.
They are generally gentle, inquisitive, intelligent and sociable, and happy in a herd. They will however, attack smaller predators and some farmers keep them to guard sheep and chickens!
the mini pony show
Have you ever seen a pony jump through three hula hoops in a row? How about a pony playing the piano? A ukulele? A kick drum? Or maybe doing mathematics with children? Dancing? Playing football? Tooting a honky horn?! All this and more happens every day in our displays! The Mini Pony Show has been delighting audiences all over the UK since early 2022. Displays comprise all manner of trickery imaginable between the ponies, Rosie, and the audience. There's plenty of audience participation, and our 2025 season has had more mischief and mayhem than ever before.
'Katie' the fairground organ
'Katie' the beautifully ornate, vintage fairground organ belongs to Mr. Mark Tooker.
Designed for use in commercial fairground settings, this barrel organ produces music by rotating a cylinder with pins which activate the keys of the organ pipes.
Organs like Katie accompanied rides and attractions (often merry-go-rounds) in their time - and were specially made to be heard above the noise of crowds and Fairground machinery.
Katie will be playing a whole host of tunes throughout the day.
