Childrens Activities

All activities are designed to educate children on the importance of agriculture, role of farming in delivering food to our tables and role wildlife and conservation play in building thriving countryside.  Activities are designed to encourage children to interact with all sections of the Show. 

Fun Activities:

Children’s Quiz - FREE 

On arrival at the showground positioned at the two main public entrances will be the Children's Activity Stand. From here children can collect their quiz sheets and set off round the show finding the answers. This quiz is targeted at children aged between 6 and 12 years although people of all ages are welcome to have a go.

Prizes will be awarded to all children who take part, they should return their quiz sheet to the stand to collect their prize. Prizes will include a range of treats.    

Stamp Challenge - FREE

Ideal for younger children, the great stamp challenge is perfect for keeping their attention and encouraging them to engage with what is on display around the showground. At the two main public entrances will be the Children's Activity Stand. From here children can collect their stamp sheets and head off round the showground visiting each of the main sections and collecting a stamp at each stop.   

Prizes will be awarded to all children who take part, they should return their stamp sheet to the stand to collect their prize. Prizes will include a range of treats.  

IMPORTANT NOTE: Identification wristbands are available from the Children's Activity Stands.   

FAIR GROUND

Don't forget to visit the Fair Ground! Located down in the southern corner of the showground near the bandstand are all the children’s amusements. There will be a great range of children’s rides and activities including bumper cars, hook a duck and waltzer. Charges may apply.
